Shopping Trip #1

Today we tried out the Walmart Neighborhood Market right by N's house. We bought mostly vegetables, chicken, fish, peanut sauce, cashews, thai rice noodles, eggs, almond butter, plain yogurt, cottage cheese. 

We decided to kill a couple birds with one stone (is that saying still legitimate- who kills birds with stones anyways?) and see which store was cheaper. We aren't super impressed with Walmart, the prices were decent but during N's transaction, the register broke and they had to rescan everything. S went through the self checkout because there were no other stations open that weren't crowded. Interesting comment from a cart lady, bad technical experience at the checkout are earning Walmart a thumbs down so far. However, they do price match competitors products as long as it is the same. And they do take manufacturers coupons....

Safeway and Fred Meyer are next...
